BA Blended Flanders Red with Scottish Tayberries
Inspired by Flanders Reds of old, Goat Witch is a blended sour red ale
combining 80% provision strength ‘young’ stock beer aged in steel, with
around 20% ‘mature’ stock beer aged in ex-Heaven Hill bourbon oak
barrels. The combination of old and young beers has produced a complex
sweet and sour flavour profile with a subtle oak character.
This blended base was transferred onto 220g/l of 2022 harvest of
Scottish Tayberries, sourced from farms located within 40 miles of the
brewery. Tayberries are a cross between raspberries and blackberries.
Expect complex raspberry aroma to dominate, with blackberry-forward
characteristics on the palate.
This one has all of the stone fruit and tropical fruit that you could
want. The guys from Amundsen suggested that we dialled up the juice and
we duly obliged. To that end we threw three different formats of Citra,
El Dorado, Idaho 7 and Strata at this DIPA. That equals a hazy bomb that
spits out flavours of fizzy peach ring, pineapple, passion fruit and
guava and it's a delight.
Hazy NE IPA with Citra and Strata hops.
North (UK) x Northern Bloc (UK) - Ice Cream Ube Sour // 3.2%
Any beer with the "Vortex" name carries a certain weight of expectation!
Building on a winning formula, we brought in Strata and Eclipse hops to
the hop bill for added orange juice and dank passion fruit notes
alongside a lead trio of Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado.
An exciting and long awaited collaboration with our friends at
Double-Barrelled! Stemming from a mutual love of big fruited sours, Half
Way There is loaded up with four different fruits, balanced by a touch
of coconut and pink Himalayan salt. The result is an absolute beauty,
with endless passionfruit, juicy pineapple aromas and a sweet vs sharp
showdown.
Inspired by one of our favourite desserts, White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake takes indulgence to the next level.
Decadent layers of white chocolate meet raspberry tartness to create an
intense flavour combination. The addition of creamy vanilla and lactose
creates a rich, thick mouthfeel, all resting on a delicate sour base.
